I’m happy to announce that I have been to selected to be a presenting coach at this year’s “Windy City Learn by Doing” Track Clinic on March 28th in Chicago! I’ll be leading three sessions on the throws for middle school kids, with one session to coaches about practices!

Shot putters and myself can’t hear the distances. It would be quiet when a thrower steps into the ring, then as soon as he began his throw, the music turned back on at ear splitting levels. WTH.

Recently at a track meet where music was blasting through the sound system the entire time races were on, and only turned off at the start of a race, or an announcement. Anyone else find this annoying?

@mass_spec1 1/2 When I teach athletes to keep the left arm in front of them, I refer to that as “selfie position”. The arm is straight out in front of the chest, but not locked out, with an open palm facing the athlete. The open palm helps to relax the arm, and not be aggressive with it.
