When I hear Bartholomew #A387393 had a terrific Doggie Day Out and that he loves his little pool it actually makes me so sad.

Bartholomew thinks his days are great when in fact his days and hours on this earth are numbered. He is at great risk TBK for space in the next 24 hrs.

Some dogs leave paw prints on your heart the moment you meet them. Brownie Buttons is one of those dogs.

At just 2–3 years old and nearly 100 pounds, this handsome Cane Corso mix is impossible to miss. But what makes Brownie truly special isn't his size—it's the incredible journey he's taken to become the dog he is today.

When Brownie was found wandering as a stray, he was terrified. He didn't trust people, and it was clear life had not been kind to him. His body bore the evidence of a difficult past, and his eyes told the story of a dog who had learned to expect disappointment.

Thanks to one of our incredible rescue affiliates who believed in him when he needed it most, Brownie was given a second chance at life. They saw the wonderful dog hiding behind the fear and uncertainty and helped him discover what it means to be safe, loved, and valued.

Today, Brownie Buttons is a completely different dog.

The scars on his body may still be visible, but the scars on his heart have healed. The frightened stray has blossomed into a loving, affectionate companion who is ready to devote himself to a family of his own.

Brownie Buttons has overcome so much and never stopped believing that his happy ending was out there somewhere.
