May 13, 2026. Taunton defeated Sharon 18-4. Taunton High School honored and celebrated senior night featuring its 5 exceptional senior members of the softball team with extra fireworks as each one of them had a special performance that shined brighter than the stadium lights. Between them they accounted for 11 hits, 10 runs scored and 12 RBIs. Senior Victoria ‘Tori’ Corrao had 1 hit (single) scored 1 run, stole 1 base and had 1 RBI plus had a strong game on defense in the infield making several plays for outs. Senior Mia Torres had 3 hits (3 singles) 1 walk, 3 stolen bases, scored 4 runs and had 1 RBI. Senior Gracie Oliveira had 3 hits (3 singles) scored 2 runs and 5 RBIs. Senior Meghan Krockta had 2 hits (1 double, 1 single) 1 walk, scored 1 run and had 2 RBIs. Senior Grace Bennett had 2 hits (1 double, 1 single) 1 walk, scored 2 runs and had 3 RBIs.

Also helping to power the Taunton Tigers in the win, Bella Bourque had 3 hits (1 double, 2 singles) scored 4 runs and had 1 RBI. Ashlyn Hebert had 2 hits (2 singles), scored 2 runs and had 1 RBI. Kaylee Lopes had 2 hits (1 triple, 1 single) scored 1 run and had 1 RBI. Grace Simmons had 1 hit (single) 1 walk and 1 RBI. Starting pitcher Ella Parece pitched 3 innings and allowed only 1 run to earn the win in the circle.

Taunton scored 12 runs in the fourth inning as one of the keys for the team on offense that helped secure distance for the win.

Taunton, the number 1 ranked team in the state of Massachusetts is now (16-1) in 2026.

Tigers with a great win Friday against an undefeated Norton as we celebrated Youth Night! My favorite part was hearing the little girls say, “We get to go on the field and high-five the girls.” That’s what community is all about! Proud we could give them a 9–3 win!

It’s been 1,070 days since the Tigers last lost.

I don’t love talking about it, but our team, players (past & present), and program deserve a lot of credit — a 65-game winning streak is something special. I’m incredibly proud of our girls and the GRIT they’ve shown throughout this journey.

Today, we came up short against 3-time RI State Champions LaSalle. Our girls battled until the end, but they had the timely hits and we didn’t. We had 5 hits, they had 8. We recorded 6 strikeouts; they had 7. In the end, it came down to timely hitting and strong defense. Congrats & best of luck the rest of the way.
