A lot of y'all gotta come to terms with this:
Over the next few decades (I'm not making predictions beyond that, because who knows if we'll even have a planet by 2075), there will be a lot more cases of more of "Wow, I can't believe [Insert All-time Player] only won 1-2 rings!"
People that wanted to rewrite Jokic's legacy are going to do so because they've had to suck it up and take it for three years. They will not be convinced otherwise. You're better off just rolling your eyes and keep it moving.
He's accomplished REAL things. He's been incredible. He sucked in this series from start to finish outside of Game 5. You play who's in front of you. He bears burden for the failure of this year's team more than his defenders will want to believe and less than his haters will.
You're never going to stop people from trying to tear down someone who has accomplished what he has if they still want to. If he hasn't earned their respect yet, they will never give it to him because it's too detrimental to their base sports opinions.
This has been a big talking point of mine for the last few years. Athleticism gap is widening. Last 2 playoff runs, athleticism has been a HUGE swing factor for Nuggets and other top teams
Ok i looked it all up.
The most epic Nuggets vs. Timberwolves games’ end times in the ~last calendar year:
Last Night: 1:35 AM ET
2025 Christmas Night: 2:22 AM ET (!!!)
2025 Double OT Game: 2:24 AM ET (!!!)
Now think about Africa/Europe time zones as well as ET/CT, and how many are unable to watch them live because of how late these start.
This rivalry, and these games, would single-handedly change people’s minds about the NBA, but the 9-5 crowd likely doesn’t feel the emotion of them in real-time.
For those that did watch: what a night. Again. Game 10 tips off 30 minutes earlier on Thursday night!
U.S. Automakers: “Americans don’t want inexpensive EVs. We’re cutting our losses and stopping all plans for future EV development.”
Also U.S. Automakers: “If we allow China to sell inexpensive EVs here, we’ll go out of business because Americans will buy those instead!”
