There’s a lot that goes into Cloud’s identity issues, but Zack’s literal memories aren’t part of it. Cloud doesn’t have anything from Zack in his mind other than using his experiences as his own to keep up the identity of a SOLDIER ⬇️

The *whole point* of LSS is Cloud discovering he’s ALWAYS been himself. His memories are all real & his, the *only* thing off was taking Zack’s role in them bc of his insecurities.

Cloud doesn’t remember Aerith, Zack’s parents, Gongaga.

He doesn’t have Zack’s memories. Period.

Cloud isn’t a Zack clone. Didn’t get a Zack brain transplant. His memories have always been HIS.

This is such a huge part of his character, it’s insane we’re still hearing this BS 30 years later.
