@ThunderNumbers Yes, but that’s because Presti actually does what he says. He said “I will meet with guys and listen to their goals.” When they pitched Giddey coming up off the bench in 6 man role, he didn’t want it and then they traded him.
@BrandonRahbar And that 2013 team didn’t fear San Antonio at all. They were on crash course with Miami and Beverly ruined it. (This is also why people can’t assume OKC OR San Antonio will get back)
I continue to think OKC has looked its best historically with Chet as the 5 out guy. Still puzzled the only time they went to it was on Shai’s game tying layup in game 1
5 out lineups with real unselfishness have been back breakers to Knicks opponents this year. And we were possibly a game 7 achilles tear from the Pacers winning it all with the same style of play
I thought the Spurs forced the ball to Wemby too much down the stretch. Too much face up jumpers instead of running their offense. Also hated his hero ball corner 3.
@j_wolfe26@JonesOnTheNBA Ah yes Brooklyn plans their rebuilding efforts with Hartenstein.
But if any of them are a real threat for Hart at $30m OKC will just exercise the team option at $28m. The only time Presti has let an asset go dead with no return is Durant. He just doesn’t do it.
I’ll take Knicks in 6. Spurs seemed too emotional as if winning the West and beating OKC was the mountain top. Spurs remind me of 2012 OKC. (Remember the team OKC beat won the West the next two years)
@dailythunder This is great. To your point, the math problem. SGA I believe was the highest usage player besides Jordan to ever win the title. In today’s world hard to win 4 rounds that way. Wallace has to be shot maker and creator for Thunder to thrive.
