The message given to UK firearms police today is don't do your job, if you do and the criminal is black it is likely your career will be over and your bosses will be issuing grovelling apologies to his relatives. All the guy had to do was stop when requested.

Bit of context, I am a boomer (early 60's) HM was the only monarch I have known. Still wasn't ready for the emotions. You don't know what you have till it's gone!

I see myself as very down to earth and not the least bit emotional so I was surprised to start tearing up at the loss of a marvellous dedicated and thoroughly nice woman. RIP Ma'am
