Meet Juliana! She is one of our AMAZING Internal members and Thurber’s Got Talent would not have been possible without her. Here’s why Juliana decided to join leadership:
”Because I enjoy spreading school spirit.”

Meet Claire! Claire is the exec manager on leadership so she oversees event planning and is referred to as “leadership’s mom”. Here is Claire’s favourite part of leadership:
“I love the ability to bring together students at the school! It is a fantastic way to make connections.”
Meet Ms Balkwill, a leadership advisor! We are so grateful that she’s part of our team. Here’s more about her:
“I enjoy all the activities that leadership does. The activities that touch my heart are ones that we do for the community like at the Women’s shelter or the seniors.”
We are hosting a chip and candy sale tomorrow at lunch! Come down to the exec office with $1 (or more!) and grab yourself some chips and candy. Each item is $1.
This is Catie! She is part of our Thurber Life team and she oversaw all of Week of Wonder! Here is Catie’s favourite part of leadership:

Meet Yoab! She is a member of our community team and has also been ready to help out with all events leadership has done! Here is Yoab’s favourite leadership event:
“Thurber’s Got Talent because I enjoy watching the diverse and interesting talents of the student body.”
Meet Zareen! She is a member on the community team so she helps with the events that benefit the community outside of Thurber! Here is Zareen’s favourite leadership event:
“Winter Formal! It is the best way to have a fun night and also the best event to plan.”
Thurber’s Got Talent ticket sales start next week! Tickets are sold from the exec office April 9-12 at flex and lunch for $12 and will also be sold at the door for $12 on April 15th.
This is Emily! She is always ready to help no matter how big the event is! Here is Emily’s favourite part of leadership:
“Leadership students are a big family! We all care about each other and do as much as we can to help each other.”
Meet Wyatt! He has been a huge help this year with all of our events but especially with making calendars and helping with tech at pep rallies! Here is more about Wyatt:
“All of the weekly events that Thurber Life does.”
Tomorrow is Twin Day and we have flower sales again for the Canadian Cancer Society! Oh, and did we mention that if you post a pic of you and your twin on Instagram and tag us you could both win a prize? And you get two entries if you both tag us! Sounds like a sweet deal to us.
We’re halfway through Week of Wonder already! Tomorrow is Mean Girls Day and you can buy a rose for $2 and support the Canadian Cancer Society in the process! Make sure you wear your pink and tag us to win a prize!
