The irony with Batswana is how some loudly champion ethics, governance & accountability on LinkedIn bios & posts, yet they are the very same people caught in PAC meetings surrounded by all sorts of irregularities.

Many speak as though PAC hearings are only exposing politicians forgetting that these meetings are also exposing the deeper hierarchical rot that many professionals themselves are part of. As a CA, procurement officer, ethics professional, compliance officer, risk practitioner, engineer or executive…the question eventually becomes…where were you while all this was happening?

No matter the accolades, titles or positions you hold silence is complicity. You are no different from the actual perpetrator, especially when some of you eventually end up benefiting from the same pipeline. Your conscience will eventually expose you even before the public does.
