Alhamdulillah!
Following the successful completion of my NYSC programme with Wemabod Limited, I am grateful to announce my retention and employment as an Estate Surveyor in the Property Management Department.
A new chapter of responsibility, learning and value creation begins.
When I sought your mandate, I promised to move Nigeria towards a credit-based economy and to establish a loan guarantee scheme that would help small businesses overcome the barriers that keep them from finance.
That promise was about something practical. A worker with access to credit can buy what the family needs and pay over time, and a small business can invest today against the income it expects tomorrow.
We have been building the institutions to make that possible. Through CREDICORP, working Nigerians can access consumer credit. Our students can finance their education through NELFUND, while the Bank of Industry and Development Bank of Nigeria continue to lend to businesses.
The National Credit Guarantee Company takes on one of the hardest barriers to business credit.
It is always refreshing to hear Mayokun Ajibade, Special Adviser to the CBN Governor, speak.
He says the common man doesn't know how annoying the elites have been for long. They've been suffering since 1984.
And they might share stories about how Fx has been abused in this country long after Cardoso has left.
This shows there must be powerful people stopping this country from growing.
Nigeria is proposing a 360km/h high-speed rail line from Lagos to Maiduguri, a potentially transformative link between the South-West and North-East. The Federal Government says the project is intended to reduce dependence on road transport, but no construction timeline, confirmed cost or completion date has yet been announced.
For Nigerians, the real prize would be dramatically shorter intercity journeys, safer long-distance travel, less pressure on highways and potentially cheaper movement of people and goods.
One correction: calling it the “second-fastest bullet train in the world” is premature. At 360km/h it would be exceptionally fast, but China’s CR450 is designed for 400km/h commercial operation, while Shanghai’s maglev has operated above 400km/h.
For now, this is an ambitious plan not yet a railway under construction.
Mayokun Ajibade on what scares him:
“We will do ourselves a disservice by attempting to roll back these reforms.”
Some economic reforms should become national consensus, beyond APC, PDP or whoever is in power. Nigeria cannot afford to return to the old distortions.
So apparently, the Ogun state seaport has proximity to the costal highway, it will serve industrial areas like Sagamu, Ijebu-Ode, Abeokuta, Lagos and Ondo.
This Dapo guy bad gan, lands in ijebu will soon skyrocket 😅
Many people villages will soon turn into cities.
Every Parent should watch this video.
Now I understand why that father followed his daughters to the toilet despite the backlash he faced.
We live in very dark times
If not for foresight and vision, he and his children would have been protesting and screaming that “the Chinese must go” in Aspamda.
This is basically what the Igbos have failed to do!
The Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) at its 307th meeting voted on policy parameters as follows:
• Monetary Policy Rate (MPR): Reset to 23%.
• Standing Facilities Corridor: Recalibrated at +50 / -300 basis points around the MPR.
• Cash Reserve Requirement(CRR): Retained at 45% for Deposit Money Banks, 16% for Merchant Banks, and 75% for non-TSA public sector deposits.

CBN MPC 307TH MEETING: Key Policy Decisions
The Monetary Policy Committee of the Central Bank of Nigeria has reset the Monetary Policy Rate (MPR) to 23.0%, a 350-basis-point reduction from 26.5%.
The adjustment comes as headline inflation eased to 15.39% in August 2026.
The CBN said the rate cut reflects improved macroeconomic conditions, including stronger external reserves.
This is the ignorance they keep spreading but I will fight it anywhere I see it.
Properly run economies like UAE and Saudi who are major oil producers have either ended petrol subsidies completely or planning to do so.
America is the highest oil producer in world and has the most refineries, yet petrol prices are over 2000.
Norway is a major oil producer, but currently has one of the highest petrol prices in the world. Over N4000/liter.
The idiots that keep manipulating the public with figures will never mention all this.
As for Iran and Libya, I wouldn’t waste my time discussing them. If you feel petrol price is all it takes to judge an economy, you’re a retard.
A heart of gratitude.
Today, I woke up in deep reflection of my journey through life.
As I celebrate yet another birthday, I’m indeed thankful to Almighty Allah (swt) for His blessings, guidance, protection and good health.
To my dear wife Oluremi, I say thank you for holding my hands, cheering me on, and supporting me. Thank you for keeping the sanctity of our home. My dear, the journey ahead is long, and might be challenging, but continue to keep the faith.
To my dear children, I say a big thank you for your kind understanding that I was built and made for service.
To family, friends, associates and indeed the good people of Lagos, I truly appreciate your support and your vote of confidence in my capabilities and capacity to serve.
Every chapter of my life has been a learning curve, and everyday I wake up with a renewed zeal for commitment to the people I serve.
Therefore, at 62, I look ahead with renewed purpose, knowing that there is still much to do and an even greater Lagos to build.
I thank the people of Lagos for the trust and support over the years.
The journey continues and I am ready for the work ahead.
Happy 62nd birthday to my dear brother, friend, and dependable partner, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat.
For over seven years, we have shared the responsibilities and challenges of serving Lagos. Through it all, @drobafemihamzat has been a trusted ally, a loyal friend, and someone I can always count on. His dedication to the people of Lagos and his steady strength show up in everything we do.
Ibijoke and I, along with our family and the good people of Lagos, celebrate you today. Thank you for your loyalty, your support and your unwavering friendship over the years.
May God grant you many more years of good health and strength as you continue to serve our state.
Today, I warmly celebrate and congratulate Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat on his birthday, an exemplary leader, a dedicated public servant, and Ọmọ Èkó Pàtàkì, whose contributions have, over the years, become an important part of the governance and development of Lagos.
I celebrate with family, friends, colleagues, and the numerous people whose lives have been positively influenced by his service, leadership, excellence, and impact.
Across the different responsibilities he has undertaken, from serving as Commissioner and subsequently as Deputy Governor of Lagos State, he has consistently brought to public service diligence, discipline, intellect, and a clear understanding of the demands of leadership.
His contributions to Lagos extend beyond the offices he has occupied. They are reflected in the policies and initiatives he has advanced, the institutions he has strengthened, and the people he has mentored. His strength of character, demonstrated by his humility, wisdom, grit, candor, courage, and compassion, has remained a valuable reference point.
He has remained an icon, mentor, and source of guidance whose example has shaped my journey in leadership and public service. I am especially grateful for the opportunity to work together to build on the progress that has been recorded and to take Lagos forward to an even greater future.
On this special occasion, I pray that Almighty God will continue to bless him with good health, wisdom, vigour, strength, and many more years in the service of our people, Lagos State, and our great country.

ICC CASE: AB SUNRISE POWER AND TRANSMISSION COMPANY LIMITED (SUNRISE) V. FEDERAL GOVERNMENT OF NIGERIA (NIGERIA) V. MR. LENO ADESANYA
An International Arbitration Tribunal under the auspices of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in Paris, today, September 17, 2026, issued an award in favour of our country, rejecting the claims in the arbitration instituted by Sunrise Power and Transmission Company Ltd (Sunrise).
The company had made a claim against the Federal Republic of Nigeria, demanding $680 million as a settlement sum and interest in respect of another arbitration in which it is claiming over $2.7 billion in compensation and interest relating to disputes associated with the development of the 3960mw Mambila Hydroelectric Power Project, located in Taraba State.
This latest decision affirms the Nigerian State's determination not to succumb to predatory and exploitative claims by corrupt local and international entities and their enablers and funders.
On behalf of the Government and People of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, I strongly commend the tremendous efforts of the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Prince Lateef Fagbemi and the entire team at the Federal Ministry of Justice for their efforts in this matter.
I also commend the FRN defence team, led by Ms Elizabeth Oger-Gross and Mr Tolu Obamuroh, both of Paul Hastings LLP, for their professional and excellent defence of the country.
I commend the patriotism and support of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, GCFR, and late President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, who testified in the case, which dated back to an illegal 2003 contract to build a 3,050-megawatt hydroelectric plant in Taraba State under a build-operate-transfer model. The Federal Executive Council never authorised the contract.
I thank the other witnesses in this case, including former Ministers Babatunde Raji Fashola, SAN, and Suleiman Adamu, and the experts, for their active participation in defending Nigeria's interest in the arbitration.
I commend the National Security Adviser for his support and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission @officialEFCC for its investigation into the case.
I want to assure you that while our country remains committed to partnering with genuine investors and honouring its legal obligations, it will continue to defend all opportunistic claims instituted against our commonwealth strongly.
Today's ICC ruling clears the single biggest legal hurdle that has paralysed the Mambilla hydro power project for years.
God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
PRESIDENT BOLA AHMED TINUBU,
