@AC_Cavs All time greats with 4+ rings
Russell (11)
Jordan (6)
Kareem (6)
Kobe (5)
Magic (5)
Duncan (5)
Shaq (4)
Steph (4)
Bron (4)
That’s 9 players.
Who did it with one team: Russell, Jordan, Kobe, Magic, Duncan, Steph.
It’s easy to say bron isn’t top 3.
@dp_mundy@MambaArchives Ok now it’s your turn to read slowly and out loud.
We both agree the point of the game is winning and not stats.
Everything I said was about Kobe. Nothing you responded with was about Kobe.
Tracy McGrady says he leaned on Kobe Bryant to manage his $5,000,000 rookie contract and the NBA lifestyle at 18 years old
“I never felt like I had it under control. Ever. I was trying to control it the best way I possibly could because I didn’t have the knowledge.”
“I’m young. I didn’t have the knowledge. I’m just maneuvering through this shit by trial and error, just trying to figure it out as I go.”
“But having Kobe at the time, I could pick up the phone, call Kobe, because he’s somebody that I leaned on religiously at that time. Very intelligent person. Very grounded. His structure and my structure are totally two different structures.”
“I needed to have that conversation and learn from him, who had the structure and had the intelligence to help me maneuver through this shit that I know nothing about.”
“I could just pick up the phone and call my man and be like, ‘Yo, I’m struggling with this. What should I do?’ And he was so gracious enough to give me the game. That was through our whole career.”
“Everything, bro. We talked about everything. I stayed with him. At his house in L.A. Just to have those conversations, man, it really got me through a lot. I’m not even just talking about basketball. I’m talking about having money and having to deal with family and maneuvering through all of that.”
“I didn’t know how to deal with that. Kobe grew up in this. He’s got the blueprint. This shit is all a blank canvas for me. And I’m trying to figure it out.”
“Even from a mentality standpoint, how you approach games, how you work out. I don’t have any of this. I ain’t really work out until I got to the pros.”
Kobe and MJ had the innate tools already there to master the triangle.
The reason it’s not run by all teams is because it requires those tools from the engine to be effective at a winning level. Otherwise it’s a mess of poor decisions
The support was also brought on because they had to have the IQ to be in that system
Stephen A Smith Has Always Been A Kobe Hater On The Low 💯
Kobe is comfortably top 3 all time Top
(Rings / MVPs / Finals MVPs / ASG MVPs / DPOY / 1st All-NBA / 1st All-DEF / Scoring Titles)
Jordan = 50 (?)
Kobe = 34 ( deserved more )
LeBron = 34 ( didn’t deserve Half )
Magic = 20 ( trash Era )
Russell = 20 ( trash Era )
The debate has always been Kobe Or Mj
Not LeBron or Jordan
@LifeOfADouble0@MambaArchives I mean it’s impressive.
I just think this post is focused on how phenomenal Kobe is and it sounds like you are trying to downplay that … by saying Kobe had a coach he could gel with and another great teammate that created synergy - all positives for Kobe tbh
@MambaArchives Pau gets it, fully agree.
It is so good on Pau to not take credit from others while giving Kobe flowers. That’s how it should be done.
Kobe and Pau was poetry in motion.
@LifeOfADouble0@MambaArchives The quote takes nothing away from LeBron and it’s also about stats - which isn’t all that important.
I mean, no serious competitor laces them to rack up stats, it’s about rings!
Amazing Kobe has 5 rings despite the injuries (including his 1st where he was intentionally hurt)!
@dp_mundy@MambaArchives Yeah but that’s just stats. Who cares? Nobody laces them up for stats.
Truly amazing that Kobe won 5 rings even with all the injuries.
I mean, he won several playing injured - including his first title where the pacers deliberately injured him.
Phenomenon indeed, Pau’s right
Spanish legend Pau Gasol, spoke about the GOAT debate. 🇪🇸 🔥
"I think it's disrespectful, to put Lebron James, above Kobe Bryant, without taking credit for the feats that LeBron has accomplished." "
"Kobe was a phenomenon, I'm sure he didn't get injured so many times severely, he would be on every statistic table, but he didn't run with the same luck that LeBron has, of being a healthy, long-term player." "
"The debate should be Kobe vs Lebron, not LeBron vs Jordan, my eyes haven't seen another Jordan yet, the closest one to Jordan was Kobe and he couldn't even match him." "
"He hoped to be alive to one day see another Jordan on the court, or at least another Kobe so passionate and dedicated to this sport." 🔥
Kobe, is the only player in nba a history to win back 2 back rings without a top 75 teammate…..
LeBron isn’t on the list
Jordan isn’t on the list
Kareem isn’t on the list
Magic isn’t on the list
Kobe took the worst teams and leveled them up to win a ring!!
Never chased
If you actually watched,you’d know that same Dunk was Assisted by Kobe.Kobe Drew 3 Defenders towards himself & Got Shaq a good look from it. Like I said,Shaq was not the only Player on that roster with “Gravity”
This wasn’t the “Gotcha” moment you thought it was
