@BanburyStMarys The students were truly WOW - with a top 20% average score by the Y5 class and a Top 3 score of all time (well, since 2008) for the winners in the Y6 version. Students worked well under pressure, communicating and applying the skills and knowledge taught. Excellent effort.

@ChelseaAcadMAT @Bruneluni The Urban Scholars were absolutely brilliant this week - impressively learning new techniques , thinking critically and communicating ideas well. Their hard work was rewarded with 86% of participants solving the case!Thanks for a great Saturday.

@TythySocSci @TythySixth What a nail-biter this event was. It came down to just 800 points between 1st and 2nd place - with a score of 210,300 claiming victory in a last minute twist! All teams worked impressively well to solve the case this year - with each team winning at least one activity.

@Stonyhurst Participants in both the KS4 and KS5 workshops performed incredibly well - with dedication and fantastic teamwork. The winning score in KS4 was the second highest ever recorded since 2015! The mean score for KS5 was within the top 3% ever achieved. Truly outstanding.

@HammersmithAcad @SPGSMain Absolutely fantastic scores were achieved during the 3-Day CSI case. Teams from Hammersmith Academy claimed Gold & Silver medal positions - and set new records for Blood Analysis and Fingerprint Analysis too. Truly impressive - considering the workshop has been run since 2005!

Participants worked brilliantly and enthusiastically to solve the case - with all teams claiming gold, silver or bronze wins in four or more of the 12 activities!

Bristol College Prep School @bcnpps blasted into the final frontier to start Science Week. Juniors from Yr5 & 6 analysed Mars sand and built sensors for a safe rocket launch. Yr 7 & 8 used microchemistry and electronics to set a new record for their age group. Absolute stars!

Target:Mars - Mission One STEM event saw 4 schools go head to head in the Year 9 competition to use Micro Chemistry, ELISA and Blood Typing in an exciting space adventure. Students from Guru Nanak excelled as a team, setting a new record in ELISA protocol.

Swalcliffe Boys School showed how to solve a murder in CSI Blood Pool. Both KS3 and KS4&5 used DNA and Blood Analysis to reach conclusions in two different cases. Students had wonderful independent and team working skills, with an impressive 73% convicting the right suspect.

What a genuinely outstanding school @MagnaCartaSch are. We have had the pleasure of working with pupils from Yr 7 to Yr 10 over the past two weeks - over a range of workshops - and every group has impressed us with their attitude and eagerness to learn. Staff were so welcoming.

Today Year 10 step up to the CSI challenge & team Holmes have just equalled the record for Toxicology. A record first set in 2013 and never equalled until today! An absolutely superb start. But there's not much between teams after session one.

@MagnaCartaSch should be proud of this achievement - the record was tough to beat! Participants needed to analyse results from Powder Fingerprinting and Ink Prints. Then they need to identify matching ridge details for use as an expert witness in the trial. They were superb.

Is it the end of the world? Not @MagnaCartaSch - both Yr7 & Yr8 saved humanity when an asteroid hit Earth in Bunkered this week. It's just one of the workshops in a carefully planned programme the school have fully engaged with over the past year. They were truly awesome.

We were delighted to work with schools on the beautiful Isle of Bute @rothesay3to18 to boost STEM skills over 5 workshops. S1&S2 students smashed the UK Blood Pool record and parents were just as awesome in the family event.
