Prayer to Mother Mary for Family
O Mary, loving Mother of Jesus, and our Mother, pray to Jesus for our family, for all the families of the world, to guard the cradle of the newborn, the schools of the young, and their vocations.
Blessed Saint Joseph, holy guardian of Jesus and Mary, assist us by your prayers in all the necessities of life. Ask of Jesus that special grace which He granted to you, to watch over our home at the pillow of the sick and dying, so that with Mary and you, heaven may find our family unbroken in the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
Amen.
Today in the Church, we celebrate the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. For Christians, Jesus’ Heart symbolizes God’s merciful and infinite love for every human being. No matter where we come from, God’s love knows no borders, makes no distinctions, is given to all, and brings us together in unity. #ApostolicJourney
It's the feast day of St. Anthony of Padua. St. Anthony is the patron saint for lost articles and has been credited with many miracles involving lost people, lost things and lost spiritual goods.
Are you searching for something?
May St Anthony intercede for your needs and losses🙏🏽
Lemme tell you the beautiful story behind St. Anthony’s Bread.
Back in 13th-century Padua, Italy, a desperate mother found her 20-month-old boy, Tommasino, drowned in a water tub. In her grief, she prayed to St. Anthony and made a vow. If he interceded to bring her son back to life, she would donate the child’s exact weight in grain to the poor. The boy miraculously revived. This sparked a custom where people promised to give bread to the poor in exchange for St. Anthony’s prayers and protection. Over the centuries, it turned into the global tradition of blessing and sharing small loaves on his feast day. That's why many people went to their parish to eat free bread this morning 😆
St. Anthony was also a champion for the poor. The bread is a reminder to take care of the vulnerable in our communities. It is shared as a physical thank you for prayers answered and blessings received.
Devotees take it home to share with family, symbolizing God’s provision and a prayer against hunger and want. This is why our mommies usually hustle one or two loaves for us.
Antoooo... Paduaaa....
Today is the Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
Mary shows us how to listen to the words the Holy Spirit speaks to us in the depths of our hearts, and how to respond in faith.
Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us🙏🏽
O Immaculate Heart of Mary, teach us to love as you love, with a heart free of selfishness and filled with mercy and compassion. May our daily “yes” to God’s will be as steadfast as yours. Mold our heart to reflect the mercy, love, compassion, and tenderness of Christ. Amen.
