Do what most people do,
get what most people get.
Do what few people do,
get what few people get.
If the path feels lonely and scary,
you are onto something.
I'm fairly sure that I'll have to trade through a major economic depression in my lifetime.
And I hope I'll be able to persist through it. Still trying to trade the plan perfectly while having losses months after months.
And the be one of the first when it hits the fan again.
Money is the root of all evil
Probably the most misquoted financial quote.
The love of money is the root of all evil still stands as one of the most accurate financial quotes.
With every trade, do your best to hit those three goals:
 Proper position size
Entry and exit according to a well thought out plan
 Calm, stable mindset
The best advice I can give any trader is to stay engaged, keep betting, preferably using conservative sizes so you don't blow up, and keep learning.
Feedback loops build experience and confidence.
Over time, those ripen and bear fruits.
When you are smart, but ignorant,
you end up cynical.
When you are smart, but unloved,
you end up angry.
When you are smart, but surrounded by fools,
you end up paranoid.
When you are smart, knowledgeable, loved, and surrounded by smart people,
you end up happy.
Get obsessed. Sacrifice every free minute. Stay on the sidelines and learn when it gets choppy you and you don't have an edge.
We get there when everything goes full Tetis effect mode.
You have to give market not room to swallow you by consistent right choices.
Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great.
- Mark Twain
The mind should be alert.
Alert to observe; not to judge and draw conclusions.
The observation is the reality.
The conclusion is story-telling.
Thus, the importance of an empty mind; a beginner's mind.
