Please be extra vigilant. There is new crime of organised residential burglary operation.

The modus operandi reportedly is as follows:

*• Individuals present themselves as genuine tenants and rent an apartment.*
*• After moving in, they spend 2–3 days observing the surroundings and the movements of neighbouring residents.*
*• Once they establish that a neighbouring house is empty, they allegedly gain entry by breaking into the house.*

⚠️ A major concern is that the landlords reportedly hand over the apartments without adequate verification of the tenants’ identities and background.

_*The purpose is simply to alert our community and encourage proper tenant verification and stronger security measures and target hardening*._
