@Jasonintampa@Patrickmiller86@Giants I think JJ is a fluke thing. You obviously needed some other QB, can’t go with one. JJ kind of fell into their laps because the Vikings kind of wrote him off. Not often a young, first round pick from a couple years ago that won a natty with your coaches brother comes available.
@tjjaconia@JoeLiuzzi88@NYGseason Yeah I’m happy Cam looked good. Sitting may have gotten through to him. He seemed to hold onto the ball tight and JJ and him worked well together.
@therealjay242@postcrabcore Didn’t make sense? He was out of football last year. He did nothing in NY. He has since signed with Minnesota and done nothing. Maybe, just maybe, he’s got little left.
@Jasonintampa@Patrickmiller86@Giants Also Jameis doesn’t need to play to be a good leader. The Giants made him a captain as the backup QB because he’s good working with other QBs. You can start JJ and know Jameis will help him and mentor him.
@Jasonintampa@Patrickmiller86@Giants Oh I get that. I don’t disagree. But, as a Jameis fan sometimes what you see as poorly run may just be because it hurts Jameis. I think objectively you’d have to say most teams with all these injuries, with no run game and a shaky line, would go with the younger, mobile guy
@murphscannon@LombardIsKing_ Not really. I mean when Lombard came up he was great right at the start and people said wait until pitchers adjust. Used to favor hitters more but not in an era where pitchers all have insane stuff and most hitters are low average higher power guys now.

@IOWNYOU20@BobbyMilone29 Huh? He played 35 games in AA and was below the league average ops there. He is starting to show signs of improvement, but it’s not like he was lights out. He struck out over 30% of the time in AA
@Gruntbaseball The Brewers have eight errors this playoffs. They have one guy with four. But they have great pitching and The biggest thing with them is they have guys stepping up. Yelich wasn’t good this year. He’s been great in the playoffs.
@GPOGiants1999 So much of this fan base is clueless. And, the amazing thing is many of them are also Yankees fans who are screaming they hate Boone for not holding guys accountable. But, when Harbaugh holds guys accountable they are upset.
@LombardIsKing_@murphscannon Cleveland had one good game against him. He was lights out the next start against Cleveland. But, certain guys just are good against certain teams. A lot I think is being in the division and familiarity with the Yankees hitters, a familiarity he doesn't have with say Milwaukee
@mariobgyn@Patrickmiller86@Jasonintampa@Giants Also, the HOF list is kind of meaningless to me. I'll say right now, QB play as recently as 30 years ago was garbage. Look at Troy Aikman's stats. 20 TD's one time ever. People would laugh at those stats today. If Jameis put up these stats 30 years ago he'd be a HOF player.
@mariobgyn@Patrickmiller86@Jasonintampa@Giants I think a lot of the complaints is you think Jameis got a raw deal in his career. I mean that happens to a lot of QBs. But, no matter what you thought, he's now a 32-year-old backup. The Giants aren't building an offense around him. he knew that when he signed his extension.
@mariobgyn@Patrickmiller86@Jasonintampa@Giants Also, I wonder, did Peyton get better lol? We know the story with Manning. he was awful to start his career. If his last name wasn't Manning he'd likely have been benched. Then he really developed year after year as he got older.
@mariobgyn@Patrickmiller86@Jasonintampa@Giants How many of those HOF players are also 20 games under .500, and complete 60% of their passes, which is OK, but hardly great, and don't run a lot. Look, I get Jameis has fans. But, he knows he's not an NFL starter anymore, he's the one that signed to stay as a backup
@Patrickmiller86@Jasonintampa@Giants But, that’s exactly why they are doing this. The line hasn’t been great. That’s why you put in the more mobile QB. I respect you love Jameis. But, for the Giants with the line struggles and all the injuries playing the young, mobile guy makes more sense.
