@WatchChad Prayer, a common occurrence at Paradise High School, TX. Our son lead prayer for the band competition and our football team always prayers over the opposing team after the game, win or lose. They also pray before and during the game.

@AshFarms Start with 1st John. It will make a little more sense. Also, there are many versions of the Bible and it depends on your preference. I’ve found that some are not translated well at all. Some change the word of God completely.

@AshFarms @creed_apol66664 However, use the version you have. It will take a while to understand and that’s okay. Just keep at it. 1 John starts with “In the beginning was the word”, Gods word. This is where we also had our children start.

@AshFarms @creed_apol66664 Some versions are harder to understand or were not translated well. I personally like the ESV (English standard version). However, the NASB and NIV are also good. I would also recommend a good study bible. I personally like MacArthur study Bible. He breaks things down well.

More continue to leave each year. We are a reformed baptist church. I definitely see a split coming unless someone takes over
