Dr. Mindy Makant, Associate Professor of Religious Studies here at LR, released her second book, "Holy Mischief: In Honor and Celebration of Women in Ministry" on (9/23/19). Dr. Makant interviewed eighty-five female pastors across the South about their lives in Lutheran Ministry.

The Lineberger Fellows, a professional development group at LR, had the opportunity to experience the Japanese culture tonight. Umi gave the Fellows a wonderful night full of Japanese traditions and customs along with the opportunity to try on traditional kimonos and make sushi.

Caroline Sweeter, sophomore English Major, recently started a new chapter of the Active Minds club on Lenoir-Rhyne’s campus. The club aims to raise awareness for mental health. “I am so excited to bring this club to campus and help make more conversations about mental health!”

The Lenoir-Rhyne Wind Symphony was recently invited to play at the North Carolina Music Educators Conference in Winston-Salem, NC. This is a very high honor in NC, and the ensemble was recently featured in a Music Educators magazine that is read all over the state. #WeAreLR
