@TiffanyMa2 emphasized that the goal of these tactics is to compel Taiwan to accept changes in the status quo, requiring efforts—especially on economic and trade issues—by Taiwan's allies to maintain its autonomy and provide the country with additional options.

Regarding U.S. capabilities, @TiffanyMa2 points out that the Taiwan Relations Act legally binds the United States to maintain capabilities to defend Taiwan in any contingency, and U.S. allies & partners are also playing a growing role in supporting the U.S. in this.

Canada can use its role in the UN to push back against the ways China applies political pressure. @TiffanyMa2 suggests that it is important to address PRC nomenclature and and attempts to diminish #Taiwan's status within UN Agencies.
