@Chumeimi A lot of people grew up calling her Aeris, myself included. I have adapted, but some people haven't. That's okay. Her real name is Aerith, but both are acceptable as long as you know who the convo is about.

It isn't much of an arc when the character starts the game with "oops, my bad" and immediately turns against their old ways.

@sammylee_0 FFII. It rewards dedication (the grind) and punishes apathy (not grinding). The story isn't bad, it's just simple. The side characters are memorable. Its flexibility is sometimes overwhelming. Its biggest sin is relying too much on player decision for success.

@LordofCinder24 Can't agree here. SOLDIER is repeatedly touted by Cloud to be out of AVALANCHE's league and held on a pedestal. Sephiroth was a stand-out, but from AC, CC, Re7, etc, Cloud/Zack are definitely superhuman.
tbh, that Zack dies off-screen is evidence CC is closer to canon.

@sammylee_0 Cloud is quickly gaining traction for me with retrilogy, but I kinda hated him in OGVII. I'm glad he's getting the development he wasn't allowed to in 1997.
Clive for the win, though. Dude Goes Through It and comes out a badass.

@CrazyNomura I've been completing older FFs for the first time lately and I have grievances about why people put them on pedestals. Just because I can't figure out why people call them their faves doesn't mean I can belittle others' enjoyment of these games.

I'm debating that opinion. I don't think it was filler, and seeing it included made sense because of that.

Of EVERYTHING retrilogy changed, Tifa's outfit is by far the simplest and most successful change.
