Greiner had a very solid game overall today behind the dish, as it looked like he might have grabbed a few extra strikes for Turnbull. He did give away a K pitch mishandling a mislocated FB with a lot of zip to the leadoff batter that should have been called K-ump was off today.

The breaking pitch was working well overall for @spencerturnbull today. Here's a beautiful 12-6 curveball @ 81 mph for the swinging K, a continuation of what was seen from him over the spring with the improved breaking pitches - CB in the mid-70s to very low-80s & a mid-80s SL.

Here's that Galvis double off Norris today. Like with Turnbull earlier, we see Greiner set up low, only for the pitcher to miss high and in the middle of the zone, this time with a juicy 89 mph offering.

Here's the second of Turnbull's mistakes today: It's not a terrible pitch - 81 mph curveball very low in the zone, but to close to the middle of the plate, resulting in a line-drive opposite field dinger to top off the scoring for the day.

Here's the first of Turnbull's two primary mistakes today: Drury punished a high 94 mph heater at the top of the zone in a pitcher's count for a 4th inning leadoff double. Looks like Greiner wants the ball low, so this is just a mislocated pitch by the Bull. Rookie mistake.
