— @CBCNews reports over BTS not submitting their music for the Grammys.
"BTS talks, People Listen."
"It's the biggest news in music."
"It's been a humongous year for BTS. Their album, ARIRANG is critically acclaimed, culturally beloved...most of these are factors which leades to thinking that 'hey, this will lead to some GRAMMY consideration' and they are telling us that they are not interested in that in 2027."

BTS'in müziği de o evreni doldurmaya her zaman devam edecek.”

According to some Korean guys, Taehyung played 184 ranked LoL games this season and reached Master, mainly playing Nunu and Zoe.
Based on his match history, he started grinding after returning to Korea from the tour. Even more impressively, he climbed to Master through solo queue without getting carried by anyone.
A gaming media outlet featured Taehyung’s LoL Master Tier achievement. The outlet highlighted his achievement of reaching Master Tier as a non-professional player, noting that it is the rank immediately below Grandmaster and Challenger, tiers where many professional and semi-professional players compete.
V revealed through his Instagram that he had reached the Master Tier in Riot Games’ popular game League of Legends.
The Master Tier is the third-highest rank below Challenger and Grandmaster. Considering that Challenger and Grandmaster tiers include many professional and semi-professional players, reaching Master Tier is considered a significant achievement for a non-professional player.
V previously shared that he had reached Diamond II in early June, writing, “Anyone down for a 5-stack of Augment ARAM…?” He later posted a screenshot confirming that he had reached Master, showcasing his impressive skills in the game.
In the same post where he shared his Master Tier achievement, V also drew attention by announcing, along with the other BTS members, their decision not to submit entries for this year’s Grammy Awards, saying:
“We (BTS) have decided not to submit our work for the Grammys this year. We hope that music can be heard and loved for what it is, rather than being categorized by region or language. We sincerely thank ARMY for always being with us, and everyone who continues to support us.”

I m still shaking and unsure if this has really happened. I think I won the scarf. I had made the bid in extended time. Just that last minute itch convincing me when will I ever get this kind of chance. Still in utter disbelief.
I hope Tae knows how wonderful you girls are. All of you who stream and vote for him. Who cheer for him when he’s cheering for other artists and most of all, the storm of generosity #Taegirls have created by donating to the FIFA GLOBAL CITIZEN EDUCATION FUND.
You make me proud to be a #Taecrew

It’s the end of my workday here in the US and just based on the first days’ news coverage globally, here’s my summary of the media coverage for BTS’ statement today:
BTS' decision not to submit to the 2027 👵 generated widespread global coverage, with an estimated 50+ original articles published within the first day and hundreds of syndicated placements through AP and Reuters. The story reached a variety of mainstream news, business, entertainment, and international media, producing an estimated 1–2+ BILLION potential media impressions. This makes the announcement one of the year's most significant music-industry news events.
Because Reuters and AP picked it up, it will be picked up by thousands more outlets over the next few days.
