@plattwkk @ChrisCuomo well, to be fair, it was a lot more than targets. Antifa broke into government buildings, police stations and occupied part of Seattle for a long time. don't minimize it.
@spookylindsay@ChrisCuomo thing is, using police shootings as a justification for what happened last year or claiming systemic racism is as bad as what trump idiots did yesterday and believing the election conspiracy nonsense. both based on lies.
@ChrisCuomo the differing responses by police/security likely had nothing to do with race. BLM and Antifa protestors are primarily white people. it may have been political or just bad planning by capitol police, but let's stop the race nonsense.
@JoeBiden mr. president, i know ur joking about ur connections to Ireland, but i think it's a bad message to send. the message shud b, WE DON'T CARE WHERE YOU ARE FROM, because it is MEANGINGLESS. we are each unique individuals and our ancestry has NOTHING to do with who we are.
@JoeBiden accordingly, let's stop lazily dropping people into buckets based on race. look at every individual for what they bring to the table, skills, accoplishments and not something as meaningless as skin color and discrimination will be a problem of the past.
@JoeBiden sorry, joe, we should NEVER be concerned about what people "look" like. that's how we got into this situation in the first place. the ONLY criteria should be qualifications vis-a-vis the job responsibilities, with complete disregard to gender, race, etc. THAT IS EQUALITY!
the former capitol policeman you had on identified the capitol police specifically. so accusations should be focused on them and not promoted as evidence of systemic racism. it might have had nothing to do with race at all, just an underestimation of what they'd face.
@brikeilarcnn you have to be careful drawing any conclusions on how race factored into police/security reactions to the trump mob vs. BLM protests. take a good look at those BLM protests and note the percentage of non-black participants. clearly, the majority are white.
but let's not just blame everyone on the police/security side. apparently the national guard asked if capitol police needed support several times and they told them no. not sure how you blame that on anyone other then capitol police decision makers.
@RepJeffries Furthermore, the security at the amy barrett protests was also very high, on par with BLM. Was that due to race? And apparently many in charge of security were reluctant to show the presence they had before because of the criticisms they'd heard about their response to BLM.
@RepJeffries Agreed. And all protestors who committed crimes should be charged to the fullest extent. However, I heard u say that you think there was differential treatment of BLM and Trump protestors and blamed that on racial inequality. However most BLM protestors aren't black.
@drich318318@CNN ur forgetting that most BLM protestors aren't black. and then there's the reluctance to do what was done before because they'd been so heavily criticized.
@CNN here's the problem if ur implying that security response is related to race. 1) the same level of security was present for the amy cornett barrett as was there for BLM protests. 2) the large majority of BLM protestors aren't black. see antifa
