@yankeeslite Oh yeah, I love Randal Grichuk for the bench to help out on that front for Dominguez. Gotta improve against lefties, gotta improve the offense in general. Yandy and Dominguez upgrade over Rizzo and Verdugo, but losing Gleyber would hurt a lot.
@yankeeslite It’s been a minute since I played with the Talkin Yanks spreadsheet but I had those two plus Gleyber, Kahnle, and Hill with hopes of a DRob deal, but I had to nontender everybody and dump Stroman. I am not in the Durbin camp, I know you’re shocked, lol.
When I think of the best Red Sox of all time, right after Big Papi and Ted Williams, I think of Dustin Pedroia. He didn’t have the longest career, but he embodied Red Sox baseball as well as anyone to put on the uniform. He was an absolute beast. Nothing but respect.
Dustin Pedroia is on the Hall of Fame ballot, and if not for the knee injury (suffered at age 33) that effectively ended his career, his would've been a slam-dunk case. He finished with a lifetime batting average of 1,805 hits, a ROY Award, an MVP Award, 4 Gold Gloves, 4 All-Star appearances, three World Series titles. He would've had an absolute blast among inductees at Cooperstown.
@_BattaGirl Psst... gotta be quiet though... it's way less than they want us to believe and everyone could easily be in on everyone and still make boatloads of cash... but you didn't hear that from me...
@Joba_44 Had the Red Sox going hard after Snell, so I think they're gunna pounce on Burnes/Freid/Crochett while everyone else is focused on Soto. Deferrals are part of the game, just happy the Dodgers aren't spending it on a new shiny corner outfielder.
@JoezMcfLy It really just comes down to LA is willing to pass if you don’t accept deferrals and NY isn’t, but right now LA is the hot spot. No player wants it unless they gotta do it to go where they wanna go. Bet LA has lost deals over it too. Is what it is really.
Left-hander Blake Snell and the Los Angeles Dodgers are in agreement on a five-year, $182 million contract, pending physical, sources tell me and @jorgecastillo. The World Series champions get the two-time Cy Young winner in the first nine-figure deal of the winter.
