@aberdeenuni Update: looks like I'm not the only one who has noticed. Ludicrous to suggest there's no fee to graduate - the robes cost Β£50!! @aberdeenuni https://t.co/GmOo0mzWvj
I've had to pay over Β£40 so my parents can attend my graduation, when only a year ago my partner could bring 5 guests for free. We have to fork out on gown hire, travel, hotel stays - all in, probably about Β£1000. University still isn't accessible. Shame on you @aberdeenuni
Being confined to finishing up my thesis a) at the weekends and b) when it's nice and sunny and I just want to be outside, is tough! Send me motivating gifs/pics/words of wisdom #phdlife#phdvoice
...but if anyone is interested in keeping in touch please drop me a message and we can maybe follow/chat on another platform. Thanks for keeping me entertained, informed, and mildly irritated(!) over the last few years!

Hi Twitter π sorry for the radio silence (though I doubt many people follow my tweets any more). Things have been pretty busy as I have been writing up my thesis (nearly there!) and I'm due to start a new job in less than 2 weeks(!)
I've tended to find Twitter most useful as an academic tool in the past, but as I will be moving away from academia now I will therefore find less relevance in it. My Twitter silence will therefore mostly continue...
@ScepticalDoctor Indeed, a great example of the ridiculousness of the NOVA system. Plant-based milks being category 4 but cow's milk being category 1 (despite pasteurisation) is another strange one IMHO
