The reason why I took such a heavy short position should be visible on the chart.

Look at the Nifty daily chart for the candles of March 5 & 6, April 21 & 22, May 6 & 7, and July 6 & 7.

You can clearly see that whenever Nifty enters the 24,500–24,600 range, a sharp fall visible.

On Friday, when the Nifty reached 24,500, its weekly PCR had touched 1.80.

The weekly PCR and the 24,500–24,600 levels on the Nifty daily chart were screaming that it was poised to fall from there.

I didn't expect the fall to be this rapid, I thought a significant drop might occur over the next two or three days.
