🚨TEES ESTUARY
This is Saltburn today, just south of the Tees estuary. Not just crabs, but the whole ecosystem's been DESTROYED.
@RishiSunak, this is the beach closest to your constituency. Would you let your kids paddle & dig in the sand?

On November 7th, 1920, in strictest secrecy, four unidentified British bodies were exhumed from temporary battlefield cemeteries at Ypres, Arras, the Asine and the Somme.
None of the soldiers who did the digging were told why.
The bodies were taken by field ambulance to GHQ at St-Pol-Sur-Ter Noise. Once there, the bodies were draped with the union flag.
Sentries were posted and Brigadier-General Wyatt and a Colonel Gell selected one body at random. The other three were reburied.
A French Honour Guard was selected and stood by the coffin overnight of the chosen soldier overnight.
On the morning of the 8th November, a specially designed coffin made of oak from the grounds of Hampton Court arrived and the Unknown Warrior was placed inside.
On top was placed a crusaders sword and a shield on which was inscribed:
"A British Warrior who fell in the GREAT WAR 1914-1918 for King and Country".
On the 9th of November, the Unknown Warrior was taken by horse-drawn carriage through Guards of Honour and the sound of tolling bells and bugle calls to the quayside.
There, he was saluted by Marechal Foche and loaded onto HMS Vernon bound for Dover. The coffin stood on the deck covered in wreaths, surrounded by the French Honour Guard.
Upon arrival at Dover, the Unknown Warrior was met with a nineteen gun salute - something that was normally only reserved for Field Marshals.
A special train had been arranged and he was then conveyed to Victoria Station, London.
He remained there overnight, and, on the morning of the 11th of November, he was finally taken to Westminster Abbey.
The idea of the unknown warrior was thought of by a Padre called David Railton who had served on the front line during the Great War the union flag he had used as an altar cloth whilst at the front, was the one that had been draped over the coffin.
It was his intention that all of the relatives of the 517,773 combatants whose bodies had not been identified could believe that the Unknown Warrior could very well be their lost husband, father, brother or son...
THIS is the reason we wear poppies.
We do not glorify war.
We remember - with humility - the great and the ultimate sacrifices that were made, not just in this war, but in every war and conflict where our service personnel have fought - to ensure the liberty and freedoms that we now take for granted.
Every year, on the 11th of November, we remember the Unknown Warrior.
At the going down of the sun, and in the morning, we will remember them.
Remember when there was desperate need for ventilators? Johnson's Tory govt gave a massive contract to their old pal James Dyson.
Who had never made a ventilator before.
Rather than established companies already set up to make them, who were desperate to help.

I have followed this company for the last 3 years. This I consider to be an astonishing story comparable to Medpro & Michelle Mone
Energy companies held onto £8.1bn, at the start of 2023, of your money from overpayment of bills on monthly direct debits, and didn’t tell you.
There is no end to energy scams.

HS2 is officially dead and you have spent £100bn on a 140 mile train track from Birmingham to Old Oak Common.
It should have cost about £10bn, £90bn has been stolen by blatant corruption.
I’m not quite sure how to explain what’s happened tonight, because it’s still happening - but here goes…
At 4:40pm I jumped on a train from London to Edinburgh..
It was comfy, it was quiet
In hindsight, too good to last…
Our plumber for the dogs’ log cabin at Rescue World has fallen through last minute and we urgently need to find a replacement. Please tag any tradesmen / companies / retired plumbers who may be able to help. It’s about 2 weeks work but even a couple of days will help us 🙏🙏
With great sadness we announce that Bran (aka SuperBran) went to the Rainbow Bridge last night 💔
Bran was the bravest dog we have ever met with an extraordinary determination to live his life. In 2020 he was hit by a vehicle in Spain and lay paralysed by the roadside for 5 days. His angel Fara nursed him back to health but he was forever paralysed. He arrived July ‘21 and, despite all he had been through, had a complete trust for people.
Bran quickly settled in and found life in the park highly entertaining. He loved being on his wheels and was the most excellent driver. It was Bran who showed a reluctant Lollipop what fun going out on the lane could be. He was the anchor for the Handicans’ Marathon, always ready to put in a mile. He could really motor on those wheels and his chicken faces were priceless.
Bran was susceptible to bladder infections and when he contracted a particularly nasty one Gareth was the only vet prepared to try and help him. Against all the odds his infection cleared and Bran had another year of fabulous quality life.
When we took him to the beach he raced along the sand in his wheels, barked at all the seagulls, sat in the sea with the biggest beaming smile on his face. He loved racing for treats, sitting in the paddling pool, he thought bedtime bladder expressions were for playtime and he loved us tucking him in at night. Bran wasn’t great at carrying his own weight so we made him special beds on the hill where he could sunbathe and watch everyone when he was on his rest time.
Bran had started with another infection which was expected to clear with a course of antibiotics. When we couldn’t express his bladder yesterday he was referred to the specialist vets. His scan revealed his bladder had been leaking into his abdominal cavity. It was an enormous shock and a terrible complication for which there weren’t any solutions with his complex history. We rushed to be by his side, telling him how loved he was. He peacefully slipped away and his bright burning light went to be with Sherry and the gang forever over the Rainbow Bridge.
We are grateful to our team who have nursed him and expressed him diligently day and night. We are grateful to our handican volunteers, his close friends who enriched his life so much. And of course we are so very grateful to you his special sponsors. We have no regrets. He was not the easiest dog to look after but he never wanted for anything and his life and heart were full.
Life won’t be quite the same without SuperBran in our pack. The bravest boy of them all. Thank you for loving him too. Adios sweet boy 💔💔💔
"Boris Johnson missed 187 commons votes while he was in the US making £4m giving speeches. Nadine Dorries hasn't been in the commons for over a year. In what other job is this acceptable?"

A new £100 million private hospital will be opening next year on the grounds of an NHS trust.
The new hospital will belong to a US-owned private healthcare company, HCA UK.
RT if you think everyone should be aware.
When I bought my new Donegal home I never could have imaged having to demolish it 17 yrs later. I could never have imaged all the new neighbours having to do the same (49 of them). I have hardly a friend whose home isn’t destroyed by defective blocks, my community is in ruins
Since the 1860s the science community has understood that adding more carbon dioxide & other greenhouse gases to the atmosphere would warm the climate. In 1938, @GuyCallendar first linked the burning of fossil fuels to the observed rise in CO₂ levels & global temperatures.
Pls RT 🙏 For the first time ever we paid for a press ad, and didn’t get a single enquiry 😢 The week before we got just one call.
Things are so bad on the rehoming front we are having to explore all avenues, and the hope was this we would reach a new audience in Gtr Manchester who perhaps aren’t on social media.
If we just could get just one enquiry today through the power of RTs we would consider it a success. That’s how few homes there are out there.… even less for the more difficult to rehome dogs. We only have possible interest for Midge at the moment. Please email [email protected] which will go direct to our rehoming team.
If you are looking for an easier dog and live in any of the 10 Greater Manchester boroughs, or surrounding areas please still get in touch. We are asked to take dogs every day and the more people we have on our waiting list, the more dogs we can save 💜

British Gas profits £969m after price cap rises allowed it to make more money from household bills. They now propose a 33% hike in dividends & £450m extension of share buyback. Meanwhile 2 million households can’t afford their gas bill. What am I missing? https://t.co/ApzehnKB78
