Most recent chronology of Modi’s anti-poor and vendetta politics:

1. May 13th, 2023: PM & BJP rejected comprehensively by people of Karnataka.

2. June 2nd, 2023: CM Karnataka announces implementation of Anna Bhagya guarantee from July 1st that will give 10kg free food grains to poor families

3. June 13th, 2023: Union Govt issues circular banning sale of rice from FCI to states under Open Market Sale Scheme. This is done to scuttle Anna Bhagya.

Karnataka was willing to pay FCI Rs 3400 per quintal. But that window was closed.

But FCI continues to sell rice at Rs 2000 per quintal for ethanol production & blending of petrol.

Food Security should be of paramount concern at all times.

Let us remind ourselves amidst all the news of the Prime Minister’s visit to the USA that today is the 50th consecutive day of Manipur's pain, distress and agony.

The Prime Minister who gives gyaan on so many issues has sadly not said a word on the tragedy that has engulfed the state, has not given an appointment to representatives of political parties who sought time from him, and has given no indication whatsover that he even cares or is concerned.

He has totally and completely failed his duty as the Prime Minister of India by choosing to deliberately ignore Manipur in a time of crisis. His behaviour on Manipur is most shocking and beyond comprehension.

प्रधानमंत्री के अमेरिका दौरे की तमाम ख़बरों के बीच आइए हम खुद को याद दिलाएं कि आज मणिपुर में दर्द, संकट और पीड़ा का लगातार 50वां दिन है।

दुख की बात है कि अनेकों मुद्दों पर ज्ञान देने वाले प्रधानमंत्री ने राज्य की इतनी बड़ी त्रासदी पर एक शब्द भी नहीं बोला है। उन्होंने मिलने के लिए समय मांगने वाले राजनीतिक दलों के प्रतिनिधियों को समय नहीं दिया। न ही इस बात लेकर कोई संकेत दिया कि वह इस मामले में क्या कर रहे हैं या उन्हें कोई चिंता या परवाह है भी कि नहीं।

संकट के समय मणिपुर को जानबूझकर नज़रअंदाज़ करने का विकल्प चुनकर वह भारत के प्रधान मंत्री के रूप में अपने कर्तव्य को निभाने में पूरी तरह से विफल रहे हैं। मणिपुर को लेकर उनका व्यवहार सबसे चौंकाने वाला और समझ से परे है।
