The bankruptcy court will likely grant the motion. I’ll be interested to read the examiner’s eventual report, which should provide an objective recap on how FTX got here.
The motion notes FTX is in good hands under newly appointed CEO John Ray (an experienced restructuring professional). But the U.S.T. believes an examiner will provide a faster, more cost-effective investigation, freeing Ray to stabilize FTX’s business and focus on pressing needs.
