Mike Breen: "The tip––it's good. It's good! IT'S GOOD! With 1.2 remaining, Knicks take the lead!"
Tyler Murray: "He put it in! Anunoby put it in! The Knicks take the lead!"
Spanish: "Anoonoby! OG! OG! OG Anunoby!"
French: "OH OOH OOOOH OG ANUNOBEEE!"
In sure this has been said but the MSG crowd, which at times is overrated, was absolutely tremendous in the Q3/Q4 in willing the Knicks back into it any time they rattled off a couple buckets. That’s the legendary stuff.
Spurs vaunted “pressure defense” reminds me of the Legion of Boom. Just foul them every single moment/play. Make the officials call it…knowing they won’t.
Following up an uncalled obvious defensive goaltend with an uncalled obvious goaltend on back-to-back possessions is the kind of ridiculous break you sort of can't afford to squander.
One way to beat ball pressure is Pistol 5 "Get" action. Castle's bump and run coverage makes that impossible. Two hands impeding his movement with the trail official watching it all unfold. Brunson reacts with a forearm. Castle flops and gets the call.
I think it is fair to say that the Knicks did not play their best basketball but they have now had two-straight games in which the refs clearly enabled the Spurs to play insane physical with no repercussions and the Knicks just having to deal with it
Yeah I’ve caught myself thinking twice during this series the Knicks need more of a MFer coach to not allow some of what’s happened. The press conf open is calculated and purposeful (and smart).
MB spent most of the season complaining so little about officiating in-game and publicly that it became a criticism of him from myself and plenty of other fans
What he said yesterday was barely any different from what 500 other coaches have said in other instances
Bizarre take.
Mike Brown has been on a dream run as head coach of the Knicks. But when his historic 13-game winning streak was snapped last night in the NBA Finals, he blamed the refs when he should have blamed his team.

We all thought after Game 2, which was far more egregious than tonight, that there would be a more consistent whistle tonight. But they’re still letting SA get away with a ton of contact and then calling the Knicks for contact around the ball
@FitzGSN_ I found a way to go tonight. If everyone else is 1/10 as ready for this as I am the place is going to topple over the second Mitch Johnson calls his first timeout.
