Climate Energy Finance - studying the energy transformation of Australia andChina. I'm not X much now the spamming and hate speech is flourishing, more Linkedin
More batteries, more renewable infrastructure => less market power in the hands of a few fossil fuel luddites, less Australian energy consumer gouging. Bring on the energy transition & restore market competition @PennySharpemlc@Bowenchris. @GilesParkinson

The science of climate warming doesn’t suddenly change because Donald Trump has returned to the White House and Calls to “drill, baby, drill” won’t fool nature. Read my piece in todays @FinancialReview 👇

It appears there is a new update on the coalition’s energy policy for the coming election: new coal fired power plants for Australia to complement the nuclear power plants. It will be interesting to see the full details on this new “coal first” policy.
Our new @FinancialReview Climate Energy Finance oped on the historic AGM voting down of @WoodsideEnergy's misnamed Climate Transition Action Plan: a milestone in shareholder activism & a clarion call that the tide is turning on laggard fossil fuel majors.

So @MadeleineMHKing is more like a Coalition Minister on radio this morning. How about talking the facts: 1. Qld gas is not doing ‘the heavy lifting’ as it remains a nett importer of Vic gas 2. There is no ban on Vic onshore con. gas exploration. And Vic fixed Iona - not you
The nastiness and irrationality in some of the response to the appointment of the widely respected Sam Mostyn as our new GG this week was bonkers. Wrote this for @smh and @theage

I’m here in Washington to co-chair the principals meeting of the #criticalminerals taskforce and meet with a number of officials from the Biden administration to look at how we can leverage our #ESG standards and promote investment in Australia’s critical minerals. 🇦🇺🤝🏼🇺🇸
@MrRexPatrick@AlboMP This is exactly our government needs to do more of: patient, public capital in support of new strategic developments across Australia in private partnership, particularly if value-added refining is also involved, & ideally then powered by firmed #RenewableEnergy. @Bowenchris ✅🇦🇺
An equity stake and a seat on the board please @AlboMP, not giveaway grants! And where is the plan for value-add taking place here in Australia rather than just making our country a bigger and better quality quarry? 🤷♂️ #auspol
Sam Kerr’s case has created immensely important conversations and exposed gaps in Australia’s knowledge, including mine.
I am not at all surprised to have got this wrong, apologise to Sam for reaching the wrong conclusion and am very pleased to be able to improve my advocacy.
Congratulations on having achieved so much so far!

This would be funny if it wasn’t so serious.
This MP, my MP, prioritizes political point-scoring over backing sensible public policy - policy that lowers emissions, improves national security & helps families at the hip pocket.

Over 800,000 Queensland households have solar on their roof.
We want to make it easier for them to add a battery to soak up even more clean, cheap sunshine.
That's why we're offering rebates of up to $4,000 on home solar batteries.
Excellent opportunity here👇to ask @PaulFletcherMP about Peter Dutton’s lies and scare campaign against a strong New Vehicles Efficiency Standard.
Ask Paul Fletcher why the Liberal and National Parties are so opposed to slashing fuel bills and car pollution.
