@JakeDav08180745 Correct. So the AFL needs to acknowledge that their equalisation measures don’t work and either get serious about it or scrap them altogether. Why give west coast a priority draft pick and give Brisbane easy access to elite talent
@RayJCapo79 Ashamed. But I don’t think any team in this situation can say they didn’t do it to themselves? Compromised draft makes it harder to climb out but not impossible. Much easier if you can jag a couple of Ashcrofts and fletcher for peanuts
@kr_1973@Kuytstanding@rtralphy Never said they’re impossible to win - the concern is that a non-vic team has to overcome home ground advantage to do so. I also don’t understand the fascination with capacity. Bigger leagues around the world play their finals in stadiums smaller than the MCG without issue
@kr_1973@Kuytstanding@rtralphy I haven’t said it should be played somewhere else? If the shoe was on the other foot I suppose you’d be happy to play it in WA every year
@Kuytstanding@rtralphy Well said. It shouldn’t be that hard for people to gets their heads around this. How would Pies fans have felt about playing at Optus in ‘18 or at the Gabba last year? They might well have won both but any fan that says it’s fair is lying
@MichaelWhiting The same thing happened when West Coast flew back from QLD and had to play Essendon of a long break post Anzac Day. Understand that travel is inevitable but one easy way to even up the fixture is to provide longer breaks for ‘interstate’ teams
