Chicago's weekend bloodbath continues under Democrat rule.

This Juneteenth weekend: at least 7 dead and nearly 40 shot across the city, including a horrific drive-by mass shooting in Roseland where an SUV rolled up and sprayed a crowd, hitting 12-14 people (ages 17-47). Over 100 shell casings on scene. No arrests. Business as usual in the murder capital.

As a former Criminal Prosecutor I know that runaway crime falls squarely on the shoulders of leadership and that leadership has failed Chicago and Illinois.

Governor JB Pritzker and the soft-on-crime Democrats own this. Bail reform, reduced prosecutions, defund-the-police echoes, and prioritizing everything except locking up violent criminals have turned Chicago streets into a war zone. While they lecture about "root causes" and push more social programs, innocent people, mostly in Black and Brown neighborhoods, keep dying.

Enough is enough. Time for law and order, not excuses. Back the blue, prosecute the thugs, and stop the revolving door. Chicago deserves better than this Democrat failure.
