Re-Start a Heart Day today saw many schools in West Yorkshire take part in practising CPR under the expert instruction of The Ambulance Service. I was present at Rida Girls High School and St John Fisher in Dewsbury and Upper Batley High School in Batley.

Despite the weather much enjoyed yesterday at Strensall Camp with the Town Mayor of Otley Cllr Peter Jackson. We watched 144 cadets from various areas around Leeds and Bradford including the Otley Detachment Army Cadets being trained in several disciplines.
A full house for Carols by Candlelight at Wakefield Cathedral with the Choir of Wakefield Cathedral led by Director of Music Tom Moore was really superb this evening and justifies the view that they are one of the very best choirs around.
