@UK_Daniel_Card I’d say both but the risk depends on what’s on the device and how well it’s protected. If it’s a securely configured device, contents & user access are known, encrypted & can be remotely wiped, the risk is fairly low. Would treat it as higher risk for a VIP or sensitive contents
@KGrahamContent Every fan globally hates that behaviour, and multiple attempts have been made to punish players who exaggerate. Sadly it still happens, and it’s partly a refereeing issue - the players feel they need to “sell” a minor foul so the ref sees it. Often it is just gamesmanship though
@kylekirms Re the ‘boring’ part - the match slows over time, but this brings in tactics & strategy. It also allows for unusual situations - GK gets sent off, an outfield player might have to step in goal, or your optimal starting team changes as the match goes on, giving the opp a chance
@BizballMaury Neil used DW, a very different sounding kit construction to the Tama Anika uses, as well as the different choice of tuning and heads. Anika is also a harder hitter than Neil, and is more of a modern style player, her strikes are very consistent and powerful.
@Gordyjs_97 The reason is simply that streaming services pay most artists close to nothing, so they have to make money somewhere. Find a way to enjoy music that isn’t through Spotify and that actually rewards the artists for their music.
@jonnyrmitch Hear me out - Queen. Everyone knows their hit singles and 80’s stadium shows; but the deeper cuts and album tracks, especially across the first 5 albums, are wild and insanely more creative than their peers. The singles are not their best songs, and hardly anyone knows the rest
@rawedgespassion@PeterWolfffff Perversely I think it is a bit of a numbers game too. Even if you’re Lennon/MacCartney, maybe one in 10 songs is true gold, but when you’re fully immersed in creativity that starts to come much more easily and the quality “pre-filter” gets sharper.
@PeterWolfffff@rawedgespassion I don’t think it’s that unbelievable. About 40% of the first 4 records are covers, and by the time they’re writing all of the music the pace slows to 1 album per year, plus they stopped touring. When you have 3 great songwriters in the band it’s not a wild amount.
@ExtremeMetalDad Dude has sold 50m records, toured the world for 30 years and been in one of the most influential bands of his generation, so yeah, worth a documentary I reckon.
@MikeOCull@BriansElectro I think the “50 different versions” argument is a bit weak - there’s good reason to make models with different specs, and each has a market and user base. It’s not inherently wrong but it’s easy to get carried away trying to capture every niche. It could certainly be trimmed down
@TVKev £40k missed tax vs £5m undeclared bung - I know which one I would want to investigated.
The other subtle difference is Raynor accepted responsibility and paid up, losing her job in the process. Farage is still there bollocking on about boats and claiming ignorance.
@JoshCF_ Two things. Providers give loss-leading or massively reduced rates to get new customers. This is accounted for in the “normal” rates. They couldn’t just make everyone’s rate £23.
Also, they’re a profit making company, of course they charge as much as people will swallow.
@JuliaHB1 Actually yes, I’d like to think HMRC would give similar consideration to all such investigations, and as long as you’re compliant, pay up promptly and accept responsibility you don’t have to be fined as well. £40k is the least of their concerns, it was pure political theatre.
@Emma_A_Webb This is a personal choice, but it affects literally everyone in the country. The NHS spends hundreds of millions treating people with avoidable illnesses caused by that choice. This isn’t interference, it’s an investment in the long term health and wealth of the nation.
@michaelinioluwa The original act (writing a book etc) is rarely inherently bad. But getting paid a few pence per copy doesn’t make you a billionaire, so at some point it stops being about the book and more about wealth creation. That’s the bit that rapidly becomes unethical and exploitative.
@ronin21btc It’s right to use both lanes, people just suck at merging in turn. The people queuing resent those using the freer lane and don’t let them in, the ones trying to merge force themselves in at the last minute. Driving is a collective effort, not a battle.
