Ok fuck Chris Columbus, BUT his name is an insane coincidence. We'll even use his birth name.
Cristoforo means 'bearing-Christ' Colombo means 'dove'. This mf goes out into the ocean with crosses on his sails & like christianity ig, and he finds land (like the dove in Genesis).

Columbus's actions are almost a perversion of his name's meaning in a way. Through the lens of Columbus and the Spanish at the time, the name is a perfect fit but from a broader perspective, it's like a sick joke.
