@fishstripes On the other hand, the catcher was setting up inside, and the pitcher threw a fastball way out of the zone to the outer part of the strike zone. It was nowhere near a strike. I’m going to be on the side of the catcher and give the pitcher a wild pitch.

@fishstripes Catching is difficult. I tried to do it in college and made it look even more so. Technically, the ball is in the air and relatively near the plate. In that case, it is a pass ball. I go back to the adage of if you touched it, you should’ve caught it. Pass ball.

@ECUBaseball If a blatant balk is a great pic off move, then great move. I worry when people tell me about the great pick off move from the left handed pitcher. That often means he’s pitching with a lot of guys on base.

Dear SEC Specialty Team Coaches, your players need to know before the play happens what to do if a field goal attempt is blocked or if a field goal attempt is short. It should not be that difficult. I realize these are tough plays to practice, but they should know.
