Trent McDuffie was a massive reason the 2022 defense improved down the stretch to make a run (look at the difference after he came back from injury) and the 2023 defense was elite.

There's no dynasty without him in all likelihood.

@daveoh17 @GandalfStaff They also drafted Byron Murphy & Nick Emmanwori, traded for Leonard Williams & Ernest Jones. Witherspoon and Hall were rookies Pete's last year there. McDonald is obviously one of the best Defensive Playcallers in the league but don't act like they didn't add talent in 2 years.

@DMacWake316 I agree they asked him to do too much. I just think he would thrive as a WILL where he can run and hit and use his athleticism. I think him an Leo are polar opposites so I can't see Spags playing him at SAM. And you're right, Freshman Perkins was on his way to being a 1st rounder

@GandalfStaff Shedeur was a higher draft pick than all 3 of KC backups and the only argument that may be better than Shedeur would be Minshew, who attempted 13 passes. I think the only thing you're proving is KC needs a quality backup again, like Henne.
