@ThoryMatt Unfortunately not. We are just about to start negotiations on price for next season and the increase required just to get back to the where we were 3 years ago is astronomical! Demand is flat. Any increase will be from retired growers tonnages

@ThoryMatt Apart from some export of ware to Fiji, most crops are grown on contract prices here. It’s more the demand that fluctuates rather than price. Demand is strong as the North Island had a very poor growing season which has left some big holes in supply.

@EdwardMills20 We had a unusually wet cold winter so it’s nice to see some sunshine and heat! Planting a triangle corner of of a big pivot for early’s so the big square ones will have to wait a week or 2!

@Farmertom08 It would just mean the sprayer would need to be narrowed right up so it doesn’t nip the edges of the planted beds on each side. Would also limit tyre width so the same reasons. A few things to think about!

@Farmertom08 Thanks for the reply Tom. We have a range of stone content in nearly all our soils so destoning is mandatory unfortunately. We also plant 3 rows in a bed (mostly grow seed) so I think levelling a destoned bed as you said might be the only option.
