Getting water at the 2026 Bahrain Grand Prix at Sepang was reportedly extremely difficult on Friday, October 2.
According to spectator reports and local news coverage:
Long queues: Fans reported lengthy waits just to buy a bottle of water, alongside queues for food and entry.
Very few water stations: One spectator reported finding only a single water station in the main fan zone, with just six taps.
Broken facilities: Another fan reported that the K1 water station was not working.
Limited vendors: Some grandstand areas reportedly had only one or two food and drink vendors, creating significant bottlenecks.
Heat and dehydration: Spectators were dealing with hot conditions. Social media reports also alleged that some fans had fainted, although the circumstances were not independently confirmed.
The particularly troubling issue was the combination of scarce drinking water, long queues and intense heat. This made access to water more than a simple inconvenience; it raised legitimate safety concerns.
If attending on Saturday or Sunday, it would be sensible to bring an empty refillable bottle if permitted and check the latest event rules and water-station locations before arriving.#F1 #BahrainGP
