I think by far the most frustrating part of the AP rankings for Kentucky is that when UK wins the immediate reaction isn’t that Kentucky might actually be a good football team. It’s that their opponent must be worse than everyone thought.

Instead of giving Kentucky credit for how well it’s playing, people immediately diminish the quality of its opponents.

At what point does the conversation shift from what the other team did wrong to what Kentucky is doing right?
