$500 Client:

“Can we do $400? What’s your refund policy? What if I paid for performance instead of upfront? When can I expect positive ROI? I just talked to someone else who can do it for a lot less.”

$5,000 Client:

“Paid, thanks”

[Tim Stoddart @TimStodz]

Content has driven over $10m in sales for me personally and a lot more for my agency clients.

It might seem like a fad or scam, but it’s easily one of the best ways to generate revenue.

Invest in it now. Start reaping the benefits in a couple years.

[Tim Stoddart @TimStodz]

The skill stack that has helped me do $10,000,000+ in sales with my companies:

1. Lead generation
2. Copywriting
3. Networking
4. Sales
5. Management
6. Systems
7. Mental mastery

Get most or all of those, and you'll do very well.

2010: Drug addict, ODed, went to jail
2011: Finally got clean
2012: Started my first business
2013: Started making real profit
2014: Had my first $100k month

2015-2026:

- Got married
- Had two awesome kids
- Started a couple more companies
- Bought equity in over a dozen more

Wherever you are and whoever you are, you can become someone else and go someplace new.

The first step is believing it's possible.

Start there.

[Tim Stoddart @TimStodz]

If I had to estimate how much I’ve earned through networking at events in person, it’d probably be at least $1,000,000.

There’s so much value in actually meeting someone and giving them a feel for who you are without it being a sales pitch.

Especially in the AI era.

[Tim Stoddart @TimStodz]

The formula is:

1. $4k+ per month service that delivers at least 3x ROI.

2. Audience that can afford to pay that and handle extra sales.

3. Hyper-consistent networking, sales outreach, and marketing.

Not easy. But it’s the easiest way to hit a few million per year.

[Tim Stoddart @TimStodz]

It took over a decade for my first agency to hit $1M ARR.

The next agency I started hit that level in just 8 months.

Do the hard work to learn the game. After that, things won’t be easy, but they’ll be a lot easier.

[Tim Stoddart @TimStodz]

I booked a $7.5k a month client. But it took 500 ignored/rejected cold emails to get to that yes.

I had a blog post generate over $400,000 in revenue. But I wrote 50 others that didn't sell at all.

Everything is like this. Lose a lot. Learn a lot. Then get a big win.

[Tim Stoddart @TimStodz]

For every 1 successful AI startup founder or viral influencer, there are 10,000+ entrepreneurs doing $20,000-$1,000,000 per month with boring online businesses.

You’ll never know their names, but they’re doing incredibly well.

Do what works.

Not what gets the headlines.

[Tim Stoddart @TimStodz]

About a decade ago, I had a blog that was making no money.

That led to a $500 client who wanted me to write posts for him.

I turned that into a company that has now made over $15 million.

Start doing things even when you don't know what you're doing.

You’ll learn while in motion.

[Tim Stoddart @TimStodz]

Nobody who's doing well in business right now is having AI do complex tasks by itself.

It just doesn't work.

[Tim Stoddart @TimStodz]

My favorite AI tool just got a huge upgrade.

@ImagineArt_X already had:

- Extremely clean images created instantly
- Realistic video created almost instantly
- Audio generation like voice cloning and music
- Editing for all three of those
- All the best models like Seedance and Omni
- Folders to easily store all your assets
- Studios for Meta ads, filmmaking, and fashion
- Connections to all the other apps you use
- An Academy to learn how to use it properly

Now they’ve added Imagine Computer, which lets you:

- Request what you want in a chat interface
- Have research and creation done for you
- Ask for edits right away if needed

Genuinely one of the most useful things I’ve ever used. The images, videos, docs, slides, websites, code, and more are all so clean.

This is on a much higher level than typical LLM generations. Definitely recommend at least playing around with it.

The most reliable path to business success:

- Build a B2B service offer
- Sell it for cheap or free
- Get proof that you’re good
- Raise prices to $4k-20k a month
- Do a ton of marketing
- Hit your limit on clients
- Scale into an agency

Not easy, but it’s the easiest.

[Tim Stoddart @TimStodz]

Useful reminder:

The vast majority of successful people don’t post anything on social media. They’re not building in public. They don’t have a personal brand or a course.

They just quietly do something that’s boring and pays well.

This is how it is, no matter how it looks on your timeline.

[Tim Stoddart @TimStodz]

I’ve been fired 10+ times.

Bought equity in companies for $100,000+ and watched them go to zero or close to it.

Spent years working on projects inside businesses, only to give up on them when they didn’t work.

Forgive yourself for screwing up. Quickly. Then get back to work.

[Tim Stoddart @TimStodz]

The “Agency First” model that’s made me over $10,000,000:

1. Figure out how to charge $4k+ per month and deliver clear ROI.

2. Sell that offer and build a cashflowing agency with it.

3. Put that extra cash into your preferred long-term assets.

Not easy. But definitely doable.

[Tim Stoddart @TimStodz]

With how good AI is getting:

1. Solo operators can absolutely earn $500k-$2m a year with just agents.

2. Small teams of 5-10 can do $2m-$10m+ with talented people being amplified by AI.

The key to making that happen:

1. Picking the right agent tool. I like SureThing.

2. Setting up smart agentic systems with it.

3. Getting yourself and your team trained on it.

[Tim Stoddart @TimStodz]

Once you build a service you can charge $4k a month for and still deliver big ROI, you can choose:

1. Stay solo. Make $250k-$400k a year.

2. Convert to an agency. Make hires. Probably stay at $1m-$5m a year but maybe keep going.

Start with ROI, then pick one.

[Tim Stoddart @TimStodz]

Hard business:

- Multiple audiences
- Tons of offers for them
- Low prices
- Many acquisition channels

Easier business:

- Boring brands with high budgets
- One offer with multiple tiers
- $4,000-$100,000+ deal size
- A few acquisition channels

[Tim Stoddart @TimStodz]

My advice to 95% of people who are trying to build income online:

Figure out how to sell $4,000+ per month services to companies that can easily afford to pay for it.

That’s not easy, but it’s the most dependable path toward earning a few million dollars a year.
