Look out for this one. I'll have a weird story playing with time in structure and perspective, but there's a generation space ship and an engineer trying to save it after its hull is breached. Can't wait!
Submissions this month are open to BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and ESL/EFL authors only!
We pay 1¢/word for fiction & nonfiction, $5-10 for poetry, and $35 for art, and we love all things SFF and weird!
Don't self reject! Submit, submit, submit!

I think it’s a shame to put the brakes on progress, and I worry today’s SCOTUS decision hurts America’s promise of becoming a place where everyone is free and everyone has an equal chance. Especially wrt education, we don’t live in that America now. We need to make it.
We don’t talk enough about a positive aspect of diversity. My life is immeasurably better today because of the people I’ve known who are not like me. Diversity in America, for me, means a more colorful, more beautiful world.
The trouble is we’ve seen disparities grow in recent years when they weren’t supported or corrected by government or policy. Trends don’t divert themselves if we just wish them to. Breaking the status quo requires intervention.
We've gotten 168 fiction submissions in the last 10 days, but there's 5 days left of our general submission window to get your stories in!

This week is for finishing off the holds/older pieces in the queue and answering our backlog of emails.
Excelsior!
@authorlilyriley My experience is a bit dated, but the keys for most places are whether they can order from their distributor (not Amazon) and send unsold copies back. Indie bookstores usually love to stock local authors if you can satisfy both of those conditions. Still, never hurts to ask.
With apologies to the real artists who did work on the series. If you want my view, you'll have to talk Disney and the show's producers into hiring actual artists to create a new opening credits sequence.
Artistry is one of humanity's defining traits. Our creative ingenuity makes us special.
So I find it strange that, with the emergence of AI, we're not using it to make our lives better but to automate creativity.
I won't be watching Secret Invasion.
@millie_tullis Saying this as someone who not only considers you a friend but who has work experiences with you in two capacities and has worked with a lot of people otherwise, anyone would be extremely fortunate to have you.
