I watched CNN last night starting around 6ish with a mass peaceful protest in Lafayette Square and police keeping their space as they ought to. And then Trump, wanting a photo op, put cops, National Guard, and peaceful protesters all in danger by clearing them out

This isn't to say that restoring complete safety isn't important because it is for all people, but the best thing to calm the situation would be to show love, empathy, and make people feel that they are being heard & will continue to be, and that anarchists can't distract from it
