@jackbryan8 VAR went wrong when they sent the referee to the monitor. They should just have instructed him to rule out the goal for an obvious handball.

@Rich__1977 How about this for a solution? Upgrade/adapt the GPS chip in players' vests and use that as the onside/offside automated VAR trigger, same as goal line technology. Referee/assistant referee call stands unless the GPS tracker overrules. Instant, objective and transparent.
