On 8 October the government is set to introduce reforms to tackle 45,000 backlog of cases in the Employment Tribunal. Due to the backlog, some of the hearings are now listed for 2022. #employmentlaw#justice

3/5 But I believe the committee understates the value of NDAs. In most (not all) cases, they are essential to parties avoiding an expensive and traumatic hearing that neither side wants.
NDAs are not appropriate in many sexual harassment cases (see https://t.co/g5cl5lGvks) but our experience is that some victims want confidentiality. We agree with @jamesladdie QC that is important not to throw the baby out with the bath water.
