Thanks to President Biden and Democrats in Congress, people’s bills will get smaller, their lives will get longer, and we’ll have a real shot at avoiding the worst impacts of climate change. That’s something Democrats everywhere can and should be proud of.
So proud to be a Democrat. Despite massive headwinds, we get it done. Biggest infrastructure and climate bills *ever*, econ recovery package, prescription drug reform, biggest deficit reduction in decades, no tax hikes for anyone under $400k, science/IT investments. #Adulting
Thanks to the Inflation Reduction Act, our decades-long vision of a clean energy economy creating good, family wage jobs all across America is coming closer to reality.

I can’t believe I live in a country where the 50 people representing half of the population think that 7.4 million people should have to stress over how to pay for a lifesaving medication that costs pennies to manufacture.
Just want to reemphasize that on climate, Ds have NOT settled for a watered-down version of the original goals. They got almost the whole thing. Here's emission reductions from the REPEAT project:
Every WA county reports on the gap in affordable housing for each income segment. AFFORDABLE HOUSING FIRST reform would mean if a county has gaps in affordable housing for low- and middle-income people, then no more building high-end housing until affordable housing is built 1st.
@TheAngryEpi I respect your desire to stay nonpartisan, but by saying "the electeds" erodes your accuracy and credibility. One party agrees with science on this almost 100% of the time, another party does not. Democrats stand ready to do what's needed, including policy and funding. R's don't.
It’s time for the media to reassess the way they cover the Biden administration. Big things are getting done, and while they may not be as sensational as injecting bleach or nuking hurricanes, they deserve much more attention.
Inspiring. A whole new approach to reducing poverty, built by the local Workforce Development Councils, the Poverty Reduction Work Group, and the Employment Security Department. Hope is here--we can move thousands of families out of poverty forever. https://t.co/XlPYPmhoml
...the same relevance and the same purpose--misdirection and distraction. This was a seditious mob that killed 5 people and expressly intended to overthrow a valid election. Any mature adult will simply condemn it as dead wrong and not play the whatabout game.
As we watch the US Capitol building attacked for the first time since 1812, many of my conservative friends seem to take great comfort in saying, "What about George Floyd and the protests after he was murdered?" To me, you might as well say, "What about Hilary's emails?" It's ...
Accepting the Presidential Medal of Freedom for a political stunt dishonors all prior recipients of this high honor. It's beneath you, Lou. Don't dishonor your National Championship in 88. I was a freshman & we *all* cheered for you.

It seems like our world could use a boost of realistic positivity right now. So--for one week only--we've dropped the price of Joe Lake Journal to only 99 cents. This nation *can* do better. Read it and be part of the solution. https://t.co/vmpnREnzW5
Joe Lake Journal reactions:
“Reading this will ease your mind, lift your soul, and inspire you to rebuild this nation.”
Denny Heck
“A paradigm shift that's been right in front of our eyes with a roadmap that starts with your family and concludes internationally.”
