British people yesterday:
"What happened to summer? It's been rubbish this year. I could really do with a few days of sun."
British people today:
"Urgh, this is too hot isn't it? I like the heat but this is rediculous."
“Almost becoming the standard of care that people expect” - This documentary absolutely resonates with my recent experiences at @addenbrookes A&E.
Failure has become normalised.

@C4Dispatches
8 hour wait time for ambulances in north Essex at the moment @RishiSunak@Conservatives . Spent 14 hours in a chair in A&E 2 weeks ago.
All the while you guys play stupid campaign games with tax announcements.
Twitter should have a feature allowing users to turn off the algorythm.
Or at least set threasholds.
I want to be exposed to a broad range of content that challenges my beliefs and understanding.

@andrewchen Possibly. Or they’re just putting all their energy into their work accounts and like to do other things outside of work. Family, sports, life etc. 🤷♂️
If the commercial acc. they’re responsible for are amazing and driving results, where’s the issue?
@SwiftOnSecurity 100%. If you’re applying to 2000 jobs (depending on the sector) you are probably applying to a tonne of jobs that you’re not suitable for. Niche down, show why you are an expert in that niche and target your applications.
No sane person would endorse such a moraly bankrupt and susceptible person as Trump for leader of a superpower at a time when global power is in such flux.
Liss Truss is the Conservative version of Jeremy Corbyn. She's dangerous and has lost all perspective. Given half a chance she will burn everything in persuit of some fuzzy notion of conservatism.
@SuccessWithJake But I agree with the overall point that a business can get blindsided at any point. One of the biggest skills in business I think is being able to survive the punches!
@SuccessWithJake I think understanding the data is really important here. Particularly around the term failure. Lots of people start small consulting businesses towards the end of their career for e.g, work for 8-10 years and then retire. Does that make their business a failure?
@sriramk Employment law and perceptions around risk / bankruptcy are barriers. Banks and HMRC have got a lot better. When I started a business 15 years ago it took a month and around £500 to set up. My latest business took £20 at HMRC online and Monzo 24h to set up.
