Ok… most of you know I was in the organic baby formula business, but what you don’t know is I dabbled in diapers as well.
I also know this baby2baby “non profit” and have had past interactions with them.. I’ll leave that out for now..
Let’s dive into this absolute grifting nonsense. Prepare to be shocked.
California is about to spend $20 million of taxpayer money to give 100,000 newborns 400 diapers each through Baby2Baby.
Do the math with me:
100,000 babies × 400 diapers = 40 million diapers
$20,000,000 ÷ 40,000,000 = $0.50 per diaper!!!!!
Now walk into any Costco in California and you can buy the same quality diapers for .12 to .15 cents each!
That’s $48 to $60 for 400 diapers.
So the state is paying 8–10x more per diaper than a regular family buying in bulk.
They could’ve just handed every low-income new mom $100 cash and told her to go to Costco. She’d get more diapers, better ones if she wanted, and still have money left for formula, wipes, or whatever the hell she actually needs.
But nah… that wouldn’t let Gavin and his connected “nonprofit” girls running the show there cut ribbons, take photos, do galas and be friends with celebrities and brag about the “first-in-the-nation” program while skimming their cut for “administration” and “partnerships.”
This is peak government stupidity!!!
Spend way more money to feel good and look good, instead of just trusting parents with their own damn money.
We’re not helping babies. We’re funding another bloated nonprofit-government grift.
Math doesn’t lie. The diaper math is brutal.
What a scam and a joke!!!!!
Nothing infuriates an uninformed Congressional Dem more than when they realize they voluntarily triggered a debate with someone who actually knows what they are talking about, reads federal statute and adheres to Supreme Court precedent. Today’s self-implosion by @rosadelauro was quite remarkable to witness. Without apology or regret, I will always adhere to the best available reading of federal statute pursuant to the U.S. Supreme Court decision in Loper Bright.
@RepJeffries to FL Republicans:
“FAFO— They are gonna find themselves in the same situation as TX Republicans who are on the run and are dummy-mandering their way into the minority. They started this war, and we’re gonna finish it.”
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes, MAGA!
I fully condemn the hateful rhetoric, lies, cruel and deliberate misinformation, and threats that my family, my staff, and I have been subjected to since the Iran War began nearly 8 weeks ago. These coordinated attacks and threats have only continued to worsen, most recently after I introduced Articles of Impeachment against Pete Hegseth. This conduct has crossed the line into threats to our physical safety, which we have reported to law enforcement.
Bad actors have tried to smear my family and staff by circulating fake and AI-generated images and flat-out lying that my parents and I are not U.S. citizens. They have pushed xenophobic and sexist attacks and amplified absurd conspiracy theories about my family. They’ve even gone so far as to spread the outright lie that I am somehow tied to the regime. I will say this once and move on: these absurd allegations are entirely false and I denounce them in the strongest terms.
These attacks aren’t about truth; they’re the product of desperation from those trying to distract from a failing, illegal war, rising costs of living, and an administration with no coherent strategy while Americans pay the price at the pump. And while they spread lies, American service members are being put in harm’s way, with real casualties mounting in a war that lacks both justification and direction.
Let me reiterate, once again, that I have been unequivocal in my opposition to the brutal Islamic Republic regime, its repression of women, and its support for terrorism. My record on this issue is longstanding and crystal clear. My family has personally experienced the regime’s brutality.
It is in part why I am who I am today: A proud American speaking out for human rights and democracy, the rule of law, and, as a U.S. Congresswoman, the safety and security of Americans. It is also why I know the costs of freedom and stand firm against Donald Trump and Pete Hegseth’s illegal war.
As a public figure, I fully expect public criticism and wholly respect Americans' constitutional First Amendment rights to free speech. I understand the high emotions during such a tenuous time for those who have family in both Iran and the United States. But I will not tolerate direct threats levied against my loved ones and staff who did not sign up for the public spotlight. I also won’t be silent as they are targeted, doxxed, and attacked online. This has not been a good-faith policy debate. It is a coordinated effort to smear, intimidate, and silence, and it will not succeed.
My duty is clear: to uphold the Constitution of the United States and to faithfully serve the people of Arizona’s 3rd Congressional District. It is the honor of my life to represent the people of Arizona in Congress, over 75 percent of whom are deeply opposed to this war. I remain committed to doing so with integrity and transparency.
Jeff Bezos has $222 billion.
If he paid my wealth tax this year, we could fund insulin in America for everyone who needs it plus free school lunch for every kid in Texas—and have plenty of money left over.
And Bezos would still have $215 billion dollars to spare.
I think we should let England or France drop the last bomb on the mullahs, it would be like one of those heartwarming videos of the mentally challenged kid getting to take a shot in his last high school game
Something from 3,300 feet below has just reached the surface in Japan.
The so-called “Doomsday Fish” has appeared off the coast of Fukui, Japan—the elusive oarfish, a creature steeped in legend. In Japanese folklore, it’s known as Ryugu no Tsukai, the Messenger from the Sea God’s Palace, believed to rise from the depths ahead of earthquakes or unseen shifts beneath the earth.
This is no ordinary fish. The oarfish is a true deep-sea giant, capable of living nearly 3,300 feet (1,000 meters) below the surface, far beyond sunlight in crushing pressure and total darkness. Its long, ribbon-like body, metallic silver skin, and blood-red dorsal crest make it look less like modern marine life and more like something ancient—something not meant to be seen.
Sightings at the surface are extremely rare. When oarfish do appear, it’s often because they’re injured, disoriented, or pushed upward by changes in ocean conditions. Science points to biology and environment, but folklore focuses on timing—and historically, these appearances have unsettled coastal communities.
A living sea serpent. A myth given flesh. And a quiet reminder that most of Earth’s oceans remain unexplored. The abyss stays silent—until, suddenly, it doesn’t.
