Today, I had the privilege of attending the inauguration of the 16th President of the University of Liberia, a momentous occasion that signifies a new chapter for this esteemed institution. It was a day filled with pride, optimism, and a shared commitment to academic excellence and national development.

The event was further enriched by the awarding of the Doctor Honoris Causa degree to President Joseph Nyumah Boakai. This recognition is a testament to his unwavering dedication to Liberia’s progress and his exemplary leadership in service to the nation. His words of gratitude and wisdom resonated deeply, inspiring all present to strive for collective growth and empowerment.

On behalf of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) @UNDPLiberia I take this opportunity to reaffirm our steadfast support for the University of Liberia. We recognize the vital role this institution plays in shaping the minds and futures of Liberia’s youth. In collaboration with the new administration, UNDP is committed to initiating and expanding programs and projects that align with the university’s vision of innovation, inclusivity, and academic excellence.
